Welcome to the first Monday of the new year! Everyone is heading back to work, and putting the plans in place for their resolutions that they have been working on over the weekend.
My advice for today and this week is to #1- BE VIGILANT. You know yourself better than anyone else and you also know where your danger zones are. Where you are most likely to slip up and make a mistake. Next, #2-put preventive measures in place to help guide your success!
For example, with me and my diet, I know that if I take peanut butter straight from the jar I most likely to take more than my serving size. That adds up over the day. So what I’m going to do is prepackage my peanut butter into portions (mini cups from GFS) so I can grab and go and I don’t have to even think about it. Removing temptation is a wonderful thing you can do for yourself!
For you it may be that you want to go running in the morning, but by the time you get ready it’s too late, and you cheat yourself out of time. What you can do in this instance, is make sure that you have two sets of running clothes ready for the week, right next to your shoes, in a place where you will put them on immediately when you get up, like by the alarm clock or instead of where you would hang your robe.
For some of us we know that if there’s a certain food in the house that we shouldn’t eat, but have no control when it is there, we need to clear it out or put it in a deep freezer outside the house. And yes sometimes it is perfectly okay to throw away food when it is in your best interest!!!
For some the first week will be the easiest for some the first week will be the hardest. We want this month to be a huge success, so think about it!! Let’s do this!!!!
