This past weekend, we attended the DFAC Cardinal Classic in Austintown, Ohio. Other than Ankhjii’s very first local show, The Toledo Glass Scepter, this is the first time we’ve competed in our own state. It was the easiest travel we’ve had too. This was also her first time ever competing with DFAC. I must say that we were impressed. It was a well put together event, and we were treated so well by everyone. Simply put, we had a great time.

Ankhjii competed in Ms. Athletic Open, which is comparable to what other organizations call Physique. While her class wasn’t big enough to offer her the opportunity for a pro card, that was no matter. We were there for the experience and the fun of it all. Ankhjii had put everything she had into preparing for this event, and she put everything into her stage presence at this event. Well, it turns out the judges were impressed as she still earned her pro card. Yep, the judges must have liked what they saw and they want to see more.

So they will definitely see more. She was invited to the DFAC World’s in Miami and we intend to accept that invitation. If the experience we had at the Cardinal Classic was any inkling of what to expect at the world championships, we simply must be there! So to everyone who was involved in this past event, thank you. We will see you in Miami!

Here is a video of Ankhjii’s mandatory poses from the Cardinal Classic.

And here are just a few of the photos we took.
