Ankhjii received a fun, custom gift for Christmas this year. What started as just a concept grew into something pretty cool! I wanted to get a picture of Ankhjii from each of her first six competitions printed on the same page, so she could look at herself and see what she’d accomlished, all in one place. I collected the pictures, which wasn’t easy. I needed them to be very similar poses and very clear shots. I gathered them up and sent them to my brother-in-law Jeremy, who is skilled with the digital stuff. Now, all I had was that idea I just mentioned, no real clue as to what I wanted the final product to be. At the time, I wasn’t necessarily even looking for a show piece – something to hang on the wall.
Well, Jeremy listened to my ideas and worked his magic, coming up with the final product you see here. I absolutely loved it. And it turned out so good, it went from being just a picture for Ankhj to look at to something I wanted to make into a wall hanging finished product. I found a nice, black, wooden frame and a quality mat with a cream accent colour and mounted everything up. It really turned out pretty amazing. I can’t wait to get it up on the wall!
